English Language Arts
Students will use their imaginations and all material they learned about folktales during this unit to create and perform their own version of a folktale or tall tale. This can be done individually or in small groups depending on class size and classroom management. Sight words can be challenging for some students, making a fun activity or them to center around is a great way to have them engaged. The flapjack activity uses the students grade appropiate sight words and motor skills to develop their vocabulary.
